Deadlines

Proposals for new degree and certificate programs not approved by the various curriculum committees, Academic Senate, Board of Trustees, and Illinois Board of Higher Education in time to publish in the catalog year for which it was proposed will appear in the next available catalog after it is approved. Approval at the state level may take up to a year or more, please plan accordingly.
Deadlines are when the proposal(s) must arrive at the Graduate Curriculum Committee or Undergraduate Curriculum Committee status in the Curriculum Forms System. Submit proposals early to allow sufficient time for required approval routing.

Deadlines for the 2025-2026 Graduate and Undergraduate Catalogs

New Degree Programs and Certificate Programs where there is not currently an approved major/graduate program	January 20, 2024
New/Deleted, Sequences, minors, and graduate level certificates	November 30, 2024
Revised Program Proposals (Degree programs, sequences, and certificates) and Associated Course Revision and New Course Proposals	November 30, 2024 Associated Course Revisions will be made in Campus Solutions with an effective date the start of the 2025-2026 Catalog. New courses will be built as they are approved and may be offered immediately.
New Course Proposals - Not associated with a program proposal	No Deadline New courses will be built in Campus Solutions as they are approved and will be offered immediately. Curriculum and course proposals are only reviewed/processed in the fall and spring semesters. Note: If you plan to offer a new course for an upcoming term, refer to the Academic Calendar for timelines. Course proposals for Gen Ed, IDEAS, AMALI, BS-SMT, should be submitted in Curriculum Forms to allow time for FINAL approval by UCC by January 31 if you plan to offer them for the Summer and/or Fall 2025 term(s).
Course revision proposals and Course Editorial Requests - NOT associated with a new or revised program proposal	January 30, 2025 Course revisions will be made in Campus Solutions with an effective date the start of the 2025-2026 catalog.
Editorial requests for programs	January 30, 2025
Deleted course proposals	March 31, 2025 Courses will be inactivated in Campus Solutions with an effective date the start of the 2025-2026 catalog.
